A select few shots from the main stage of NASS 2011.
So with better insurance, i sneaked my camera into Slam Dunk South festival to try and get a few snaps of my favorite bands. I didn’t manage to get into the photo pit, but between sheltering from flying beer and falling crowd surfers i got few pictures.
Fighting back the screaming crowds of people pushing and shoving me, i managed to take a few photos in between shielding my camera from damage. If im going to keep this up i need better insurance…
After the really fun shoot for Martin and Claire’s pre wedding photos i went out to meet them both for a drink and to Catch Martin’s band ‘Centerfolds’. I had been pre warned that they were all pretty boys so as always i grabbed the camera to see if i could capture some of the magic.
My first photo shoot in a proper photography pit. Amazing show by Crazy Arm as always and the access to the back of the stage made this is really special set of pictures for me.
This was a big step up for me, although the stage was no bigger than some of ones i have taken photos of before, this was the first time I had been given a press pass and have the “Three Song Rule” imposed on me.
I didn’t attend this gig to take photos, Crazy Arm are simply one of my favorite bands and i couldn’t resist seeing them in Bath. When i arrived the venue was less than desirable, but i thought i would give it a go with some surprising results.
After seeing Teller play at Space 72, i really wanted to help these guys progress, so i popped down to the studio to lend a hand with the drum recordings and take a few photos for their website.
A good friend of mine Olly Gane had just started a new band called Teller. Naturally i had to go and check them out and as i am in need of building up my live photography portfolio i grabbed my camera as i headed out the door. An amazing gig in the smallest of venues, that resulted in some nice lighting effects.
